The Hythe Smash 2023
Wednesday 17th May was an historic evening across our local area, as the first EVER round of The Hythe Smash got underway in Saltwood, Folkestone and Willesborough. The brain-child of Hythe Cricket Chairperson Will Clayton and Club Captain Pat Briscoe, The Smash will see 30 T20 league matches played across May, June and July with a Finals Day at The Grove in early September. It was a proud evening for Pat and Will, who finally got to see months of hard work and planning become cricketing reality. We love that teams went all out with zing stumps and coloured kit… and the evening was made even sweeter for Hythe with a thumping first win. Come and support Hythe in their first Smash home game on Wednesday 24 May vs. Saltwood.
