Introducing... Football Training for Women and Girls

Rachel Gainsford27 Jun - 11:27

Fun, friendly sessions to learn some football skills!

We are delighted to now offer football training sessions for women and girls at the Club.

Sessions for girls in current School Years 5-8 are on Tuesdays from 5.30 – 6.30pm (from 1st July onwards) with Coach Kaylea. Please share the details with anyone who might be interested! To book a place contact Rachel: football@hythecsc.com

Sessions for women are run by Coach Mark Whyte, 6.30pm – 7.30pm on Wednesday evenings. Mark trained as a coach through a new England Football initiative ‘Kickabout 18+’ and started Hythe Port FC as an opportunity for women to learn and enjoy playing football without the commitment or pressure of league games and team selections. It’s a small friendly group, and women of any age 18+ are welcome to join in. To contact Mark and/or book your place go to:Book a Football Kickabout Session for Women

Both sessions are all about fun, fitness and learning some basic football skills – perfect for anyone who hasn’t played before, or would like to build up the confidence to play again. There is no ongoing commitment or kit required, it is all about enjoying an hour of football each week, and meeting some new people along the way. All you need to start is a pair of trainers.

For girls moving on from primary to secondary school, we hope the sessions also provide an opportunity to meet and make friends with girls from other schools.

Our Club aim is ‘community participation in sport’ and our values are ‘welcoming, sporting and inclusive’, so this is another exciting step towards offering the opportunity to play football, cricket, squash and racketball to anyone of any age!
