We loved working with Kent Cricket Community Trust to host an annual Dementia Cricket and Tea event. Here's the report from the Kent Cricket website:
"A joyful afternoon where the love of cricket brought people together through laughter, movement, and shared moments.
Participants and their carers took to the field for a series of fun, inclusive cricket activities. From throwing and catching to fielding and batting, the energy was infectious. Laughter echoed across the pitch as muscle memory kicked in, proving stronger than memory itself. For many, it was a beautiful rediscovery of a sport they once cherished.
The day culminated in a friendly game, where everyone had the chance to put their newly honed skills into action. Cheers and smiles were in abundance, celebrating not just cricket, but connection, confidence, and community.
To top it all off, a classic cricket tea brought everyone together — a moment to relax, reflect, and show heartfelt gratitude to the carers whose dedication makes days like this possible.
A massive thank you to Dementia Awareness Hythe and Hythe Cricket Club for their unwavering support and partnership. Together, they’ve bowled us over with a day to remember."
